As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, Canva does not offer a direct feature to create Instagram stickers within its platform. However, you can create custom stickers or designs in Canva and then upload them to Instagram Stories as stickers. Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Create Your Design in Canva
- Visit the Canva website (www.canva.com) and log in to your account or create one if you haven’t already.
- Click on “Create a design” and select a custom dimension that suits your sticker design. A common size for Instagram stickers is 1080×1920 pixels, which matches the dimensions of Instagram Stories.
- Design your sticker using Canva’s features, including text, images, shapes, and backgrounds. Customize it to your liking.
- Once your design is complete, click the “Download” button in the top right corner and select the format you want to download it in (e.g., PNG, JPG).
Step 2: Upload the Sticker to Instagram Stories
- Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
- Swipe right on your Instagram feed or tap your profile picture in the top-left corner to open the Stories camera.
- Capture a photo or tap the gallery icon to choose an existing photo or background for your Instagram Story.
- To add your Canva-designed sticker as an Instagram sticker, tap the square smiley face icon at the top of the screen. This opens the stickers menu.
- At the bottom of the stickers menu, you’ll see an option to “Create” or “Your stickers.” Tap “Create.”
- Select the custom sticker you created in Canva from your device’s photo gallery.
- After selecting your custom sticker, you can resize, rotate, and position it on your Instagram Story as desired.
- Once you’re satisfied with the placement, tap “Your Story” or “Send to” to share your Instagram Story with the custom sticker.
Remember that Instagram’s features and interfaces may change over time, so it’s a good idea to check the latest updates and settings on the Instagram app or website. Additionally, Canva might introduce new features or integrations in the future, so keep an eye on Canva’s official announcements for any changes related to Instagram stickers.
